?Who Needs Environmental Consulting

Private and Public Companies – Identification of gaps between the legal regulation requirements and actual business operations can only be provided by a qualified environmental professional. The findings of an environmental consultant include preparing an execution program for reducing the identified gaps, drafting the company's policy, analyzing internal audits, corporate requirements, stock-exchange prospectus, in compliance with other agencies' requirements (such as the GCA, The Government Companies Authority).

Financial Institutes, Real Estate Companies, Land Appraisers, Accountants and Attorneys – An Environmental Consultant can provide a review of environmental status of businesses, factories or land (real estate) prior to purchasing, as part of a merger process or the change of ownership. The consulting includes identification of existing and expected environmental areas of concern, defining the required actions to reduce environmental risks and uncertainty resulting in future damages. The services of Rony Bruell also include a valuation of the findings and the required operations in order to reduce damages and negative effects.

Environmental Consulting for Managers – Rely on an environmental expert to provide a review of existing environmental status including: analysis of the related environmental findings, gap analysis in the existing status, risk assessment, recommendations and their associated implementation costs. The consulting includes representations at the relevant agencies, review of all related reports and documents, and the drafting of updated reports.

?What Is Included In Environmental Consulting

The services provided by Rony Bruell – Environmental Consulting contain a large range of attributes:

Environmental Compliance: Environmental Compliance examines the current status (or the planned status) pursuant to Israeli laws and regulations, agency requirements, and the company's standards or the business review plan. The review is initiated either as an internal management requirement, or can be initiated by other stakeholders such as external financial institutions, regulatory agencies or corporate policies.

Environmental Audit: An Environmental Audit is executed according to the company's program and tailored to the business needs by corporate requirements. Often, the review includes assessment of issues that are beyond compliance and may concentrate on one or more matters (waste management, hazardous chemicals handling, and risk mitigation for example). The Environmental Audit provides an evaluation aimed at minimizing risk and operational costs. Environmental sustainability can be corporate into the audit.

Environmental Due Diligence: Environmental Due Diligence is comprised of a review of environmental aspects of properties, companies, businesses, and other industrial processes. The analysis can include evaluation of the environmental condition of the site prior to real estate transactions, a change of a company's ownership, or a merger/acquisition. The review also includes economic implications of the transaction.

Environmental Risk Assessment: Environmental Risk Assessment summarizes the risk involved in business operations to date and/or in future operations as a result of planned changes. The review includes analysis and recommendations for risk reduction accompanied by associated costs.

?Environmental Consulting: Why and When

Retaining the services of an environmental consultant can protect your investment and serve as well as a robust legal contract. According to the cumulative experience in Israel and worldwide, environmental problems – such as contaminated soils, groundwater and soil gases, noise, radiation, hazardous chemicals, discharge to air, soil and water – represent important issues for managers, executives and directors which influence officers’ liability. Environmental issues affect logistic costs of enterprises and factories as well as real estate and building costs (for example in financing projects, mitigation of noise and vapors in buildings, etc…).

An accurate identification of relevant environmental issues at the right time provides investors, managers and employees great benefits. Risk assessment of existing activities and/or future liabilities provides an estimated budget for required corrective actions, which can be a critical component in funding a project.

Through the identification of environmental risks, a company can reduce the risk, consequences and uncertainty, leading to significant savings of future costs.

Professional assessment and thorough review of relevant environmental issues is vital prior to closing a potential merger/acquisition deal, subsequent to a change in ownership, or incorporated into part of an ongoing business routine. Such an assessment requires interdisciplinary expertise and the ability to integrate related information of various environmental aspects.
